Deep within our ancestral roots, there was Vimala. There was sustainability. We began to connect with this understanding and all the benefits it can have for our modern time. Deriving from the mother all of languages, Vimala is an ancient Sanskrit word, meaning something that is clean and pure; we hope to bring the world back to this state with our mission.
Our Mission
At Vimala, our goal is crystal clear - to reduce litter on the streets and educate people on the damaging effects of littering on the environment. Our approach is ambitious yet practical - capturing geo-tagged photos of litter, mapping out the litter hotspots, organising clean-up drives, and raising awareness in schools about the consequences of littering, including a polluted environment, decreased life expectancy, health issues, and harm to plant growth which impacts the air we breathe. With a shared passion and a determination to succeed in this noble cause, our efforts started yielding positive results, leading to the birth of Vimala.
